Benji began climbing in 2007. He quickly transitioned to climbing outside, where he fell in love with the movement, challenge, and adventure that climbing provides. Those same elements have inspired Benji to pursue climbing around the country and abroad. Benji comes from a family of educators. His passion for teaching, mixed with his love of climbing and adventure, moved him to pursue a career as an instructor and outdoor educator.
Benji holds a Recreation Management degree with a concentration in Outdoor Experiential Education from Appalachian State University, is a certified Wilderness First Responder through the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS, and is a certified AMGA Single Pitch Instructor. He has worked with the North Carolina Outward Bound School, Adventure Treks, and The Academy at Trails Carolina, and has been instructing for Climb Nashville since 2014.
James began climbing in 2011 in the crags around Nairobi, Kenya. Since moving to the Southeast, he's climbed sport, trad, and, if absolutely necessary, boulders all across the region. He is drawn to climbing by its unique combination of athleticism, aesthetics, and adventure.
He has been trained by the National Outdoor Leadership School, Wilderness Medical Associates, and the American Mountain Guide Association, from whom he earned his Single Pitch Instructor certification in 2017.
Clint began climbing in 2015 at Climb Nashville. Two weeks later, he got a job at the gym and hasn’t stopped climbing since. Clint immediately fell in love with climbing, the community that surrounds it, the places it takes you, and all the great stories you hear and make along the way. Since he started climbing, Clint has traveled the country to experience everything climbing has to offer. Coming from a long line of coaches, Clint was inspired to coach and teach others about climbing.
In November of 2016, through the American Mountain Guide Association, Clint became a Single Pitch Instructor and began instructing at Climb. Since then, he has guided all over the country, in places like Tennessee, California, Washington, and much more. Clint has also been a guide for REI and became a Wilderness First Responder in November of 2017.
